Learning Thai language from the beginning
Thai language is no doubt a very beautiful language. This language seems to be very difficult for those people who don’t know about it. When somebody is speaking Thai then even then it seems to be very difficult and hard for the person.
It occurs to be difficult to the western people and it is specially because their language has only one tone and they don’t seem to have any kind of difficulty either while speaking their own language. Well for the Thai language it is a very tonal language and every word of the Thai language can be spoken in five different tones. These five tones of the same word will mean completely different from each other. A person can say five completely different things from one word.
If you are speaking a western language in any tone then the person listening to you can understand easily what you are trying to stay but in Thai language you will have to remain extremely careful about your tone. The five basic tones of the Thai language are high, low, and middle, rising and the last one is the falling. There are also three different classes or types of consonant which are high, middle and low. In Thai language there are 32 vowels and some of these vowels are not present in the western language. This is the basic structure of this beautiful language. In pronouncing some of the vowels the person has to give special position to its tongue so that the vowel can be pronounced correctly.
If somebody is living in Thailand then he or she will be able to pick up many different words from the people of Thailand but even then they are not sure that what the people are saying when they are talking to each other. They might be saying something else and the person would be thinking totally an opposite thing. The people who start to live in Thailand can learn how to speak the language but it will surely take them time in pronouncing the correct words and understanding the correct tones of the people as well.
